This age is as of the year of interview (if the child is alive) or year of death (if the child is dead). This means that current age (for surviving children) or age at death (for children who died) is computed using the years for these events, not the exact dates. Under the NUHDSS the households are visited in two informal settlements in Nairobi every four months to collect information on health and other related issues so that we can understand the health and well-being of members of these communities. Specifically, we would like to know a bit about the vaccination statistics for all DSS members aged less than five years. KENYA Two informal settlements (slums) in Nairobi county, Kenya (specifically, Korogocho and Viwandani slums). All DSS members who are under five years of age (alive or dead). This includes the background, repondent's particulars and vaccination details. The routine vaccination form collects information for all DSS children aged less than five years who are the household members (usual residents) in the geographic coverage area.
