According to service provider, they do Post abortion Care in this facility but it is not recorded. And in my own observation, this Care is provided in this facility but it is not capture in any of the ledgers or the HMIS.
All cases consider legal, is referred to JJ Dossen Referral Hospital. Treatment in this facility is free. Patient only buy if supplies are not available and is rare. The balance 10% that don't receive FP on discharge, always say they want to
All the Midwife and Nurses are not trained in treating PAC cases.

At this facility some months they can received higher numbers of PAC and in some month they can received lower numbers of PAC .

During the interview, the focal person was very cooperative and patient.
From observation, there haven’t been a lot of cases recorded over the last quarter (July-September). The estimated data from the last month are even more than what was seeing in the Record for out patients and in patients cases.
From the Ledger for last quarter, there was only 1 inpatient case reported for the entire month at facility.

I have interviewed the OIC and she gave me all the necessary informations about the facility services but,what I actually observed was that the facility has limited employees and there were no doctors, specialists and those employees that were
I have observed that in facility of this nature there are no record of PAC. It was the midwife that inform me of a minor PAC case of incomplete abortion. Interesting that the OIC didn't mention it.

I was told that, in the last month there was 1 PAC case treated and discharged, but when I checked in the ledger it was not recorded.
In my opinion the cases load in this facility is low because it is a referral hospital and most of primary facilities in this county are trained to handle PAC Cases

The HFS interview was somehow difficult to do at the JFD HOSPITAL because,PAC cases that are done in the OPD are recorded in their ledger but are not captured to the HMIS Ledger. So therefore their reports are not corresponding.During the int
The IPD maternal Register doesn't specify if the Abortion is induced and spontaneous . Report was verify from Patient's Charts
The LAC management cooperated fully during the process. They provided me full access to their ledgers and an isolated space to conduct the interview.
The Medical Director was interviewed alone with a knowledgeable supervisor from MCH in order to complete this report.
The Nursing Director for the hospital referred me to interview the supervisor of the OB Ward.
The OIC in person of Mrs Virginia G. Kofa was willing to work with me .

The interview was done under a good atmosphere. The patients are constraint with buying drugs and medical supplies for their treatment. The influx of PAC patients are seasonal. They don't receive a lot of PAC at a certain time.
