Now I would like to ask you whether any of the female members of your household aged 12 years or above is pregnant. Knowing the number of women who are pregnant in the community is important in understanding whether the health services that help pregnant women are sufficient and, if not, what to do to improve them. It may sound strange to ask these questions about young girls, but we are doing this because our research shows that some girls as young as 12 years get pregnant in the community. As noted before, this information will be treated with utmost confidentiality and will be used for research purposes only.
