Ask ([child_name] to stand like you and then say, “Now we shall stand together on one leg.” Practice with ([child_name] and provide all the necessary support. Encourage ([child_name] to do it alone. Start timing as soon as ([child_name] achieves balance. Stop if ([child_name] loses balance after 2 trials of less than 10 seconds.
