Q. 716 is designed to identify women who are currently married or living with a partner. Check Q601, select the appropriate option and follow the instructions. For women who are in union, you will go on to complete Q. 718 by checking Q. 311 (METHOD USED). Women who are currently using a contraceptive method other than male sterilization, the male condom, or withdrawal will be asked Q. 718. If a woman is using any of these 'male' methods skip to Q 720.

If she is not currently using contraception (i.e., no category is selected in Q309), skip to Q. 721.
