[RECORD TOTAL NUMBER OF ITEMS]
Interviewer instructions
The answers to these questions on ownership of certain durable items will be used as a rough measure of the socioeconomic status of the household. Read out each item and select the answer given after each item.

If the respondent reports that a household item such as a radio is broken, try to find out how long it has been broken and whether it will be fixed. If the item appears to be out of use only temporarily, select 'YES'. Otherwise, select 'NO'. For any item that the household owns ('YES' is selected in 107a) ask in 107b about the number of the particular item that the household owns.
